Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (FRA) is an alternative to Botox, micro-dermabrasion, photo rejuvenation, chemical peels, or other processes that are designed to reduce the signs of ageing. It is a less invasive procedure with little to no down time. FRA has been used in China for thousands of years. FRA patients range from those wanting a boost to their complexion to others who have deep lines and sagging.

A combination of modalities including acupuncture, herbal medicine, acupressure massage and cupping are used. No two treatments are alike as each patient has their own individual health concerns as well as cosmetic goals. Diagnosis techniques such as pulse and tongue observation, face examination and questioning are used to identify and treat the major organ imbalances in the body that cause the ageing and skin imperfections. FRA aims to correct the signs of ageing both by using a local treatment and also treating the underlying causes of ageing. It has semi-permanent results and can reduce signs of ageing by up to 15 years. FRA is generally painless. It lifts the skin in order to remove fine lines around the eyes, lips, and nose, and is also effective at raising the bags beneath the eyes and firming the jaw line.

A series of 12 treatments (2 times weekly) is generally recommended. Results can be maintained for up to seven years especially if advice given during the course is adhered to.
